Packing light is a skill that every traveller should master! Here are a few tips to make your carry-on a little lighter next time you take a trip.
1. Plan your outfits.
Resist the urge to pack multiple outfit options. Get out a pad of paper and a pen, and write out what you’re going to wear each day of your trip in the morning, afternoon and night. Pack those and commit!
2. Roll your clothes
If you need to bring a couple extra things in case of weather or other circumstances, roll your clothes. It leaves more space in your suitcase, and you’ll avoid unsightly creases!
3. Buy travel sizes… at your destination!
Round bottles and tubes full of toothpaste, shampoo and contact solution are space wasters. Chances are, your destination has a drug store or your hotel has a gift shop. If you have the time, save a lot of space and buy that little tube of toothpaste when you get there!
