Though the idea of laying on a beach for a week might sound like the ultimate Spring Break, it’s not always the most realistic. From your schedule to your finances, there are a million things that can keep you home while the rest of the world is laying out with a drink in their hand. (Ok, not EVERYONE, but it can definitely feel that way.)
That’s why we came up with a couple ways you can celebrate the return of the sunshine at home – and have a great time!
Discover new restaurants
Go way out of your comfort zone. Pick out at least three new restaurants you’ve never even considered before and immerse yourself in the experience. Who knows, maybe you’ll find your new favorite cuisine!
Take a field trip
Chances are your town, or a town nearby, has some cool museums, landmarks or parks that you’ve never gotten around to visiting. Be a kid again and take a field trip – see what all the fuss is about!
Freshen up your wardrobe
Since you’re not dropping thousands of dollars on a beach vacation, you can feel less guilty about an impromptu shopping trip. Browse the racks of new spring styles, and buy yourself something to add to your wardrobe. Nothing makes you feel better than a great new outfit!
Throw a party
Invite fellow staycationers over for a blow-out. Nicer weather puts everyone in a party mood! Try out a new spring themed dinner or cocktail recipe to make it extra special.
